PRESIDENT Turn Rapid Rise Into Debut Album ‘Blood Of Your Empire’

Few new heavy acts have moved as quickly as PRESIDENT.

The anonymous British project only emerged publicly in 2025. Just over a year later, there is already a debut album.

Blood Of Your Empire arrived yesterday, September 4, via Atlantic Records, bringing together ten tracks that push metalcore, alternative metal, electronics, hip-hop and modern R&B into the increasingly difficult-to-categorise sound PRESIDENT have been building since their arrival.

For a project that started behind masks and deliberate secrecy, things have become very visible, very quickly.

From ‘King Of Terrors’ to a full album

PRESIDENT’s introduction came in 2025 with “In The Name Of The Father,” followed by the King Of Terrors EP.

The combination of anonymity, a carefully controlled visual identity and a sound that refused to stay inside conventional metalcore boundaries immediately generated attention. But the music has increasingly become bigger than the mystery surrounding the people making it.

Blood Of Your Empire is the next test of that.

Rather than stretching the initial hype across another series of singles or EPs, PRESIDENT have moved directly into a full-length release.

The album was written and produced entirely by the band themselves. No outside co-writers were brought in and there is no high-profile external producer steering the record.

That makes the debut feel like a particularly direct statement of what PRESIDENT want this project to be.

Metalcore built for the dancefloor

Trying to place PRESIDENT inside a single genre remains difficult.

Heavy, detuned guitars and metalcore breakdowns provide part of the foundation, but 808s, electronic beats, minimal-house rhythms and R&B influences regularly reshape what happens around them.

“Angel Wings” provides perhaps the clearest introduction to that collision.

PRESIDENT themselves point towards the song when explaining what the project sounds like. Its combination of crushing guitars and dancefloor electronics captures a band willing to use the weight of modern metal without accepting all of its boundaries.

Elsewhere, “dark heaven” pushes further towards hip-hop, while the wider record continues to move between heavy music and electronic production.

That genre collision has become increasingly common across modern alternative music. PRESIDENT, however, seem less interested in adding electronics to metalcore than in treating both as equal parts of the same language.

Faith, doubt and an existential crisis

Underneath the production sits a much more personal theme.

Blood Of Your Empire revolves around faith, mortality and the conflict that can emerge when beliefs that once felt absolute begin to collapse.

PRESIDENT has spoken about growing up in a deeply religious environment and eventually beginning to question what had been taught. That process triggered an existential crisis that now runs directly through the album.

Importantly, the record isn’t presented as an attack on religion itself.

Instead, it examines the tension between the compassion, meaning and beauty that faith can create and the violence, division and pursuit of power that have also been justified through religion throughout history.

“Mercy” tackles that contradiction particularly directly.

“dark heaven,” meanwhile, deals with moving away from unquestioned certainty towards a more open-ended relationship with faith.

Even “DOOM LOOP” expands the album’s existential questions beyond religion, looking at distraction, social media and how difficult it has become to remain present in everyday life.

For an act whose visual presentation is intentionally distant and anonymous, Blood Of Your Empire is surprisingly personal underneath the surface.

One year can change everything

The speed of PRESIDENT’s development remains difficult to ignore.

The project surfaced in 2025. The King Of Terrors EP generated tens of millions of streams. Live appearances quickly followed, before PRESIDENT joined Bad Omens for their first full US run.

Now comes a headline tour of their own.

The North American run begins on the same day as the album release, starting at Brooklyn Bowl in Nashville before continuing through October.

Every date is already sold out.

That is an unusual position for an act releasing its first album.

It also makes PRESIDENT one of the clearest examples of how quickly a new heavy project can scale when streaming momentum, visual identity and live demand all connect at the same time.

More than the masks

Anonymity inevitably creates speculation.

Who is behind PRESIDENT? How much of the mythology is real? When will the identities become known?

Those questions helped generate the initial attention, but Blood Of Your Empire arrives at the point where the project needs to survive beyond them.

So far, the signs are strong.

The songs have developed a recognisable sonic identity. The live operation is moving rapidly into larger rooms. The debut has a coherent subject rather than simply collecting the tracks that created the early hype.

Most importantly, PRESIDENT already sound less like a mysterious new metal band and more like a project building its own space between scenes.

The mystery brought people through the door.
